About CETL

During early 2009 CAUT received approval to change its name to the Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL).  The new name will take effect from 1 July 2009.

At a time when our University is fully engaged in the reform of its undergraduate curriculum, and is taking a more student-centred approach to curriculum design, and to teaching and learning, our Centre has also been re-aligning our role and activities. We are now much more engaged in the collection and analysis of the evidence of student learning experiences, and in working with the University, its faculties and staff to enhance these experiences. In this environment a name that reflects the centrality of both teaching and learning will more accurately convey the Centre's objectives and activities.

Our new web site is an opportunity to introduce the move to our new name, and to refresh our communications about the Centre’s academic development programme, and our scholarship and research in support of these broader, university-wide teaching and learning developments.
