Dr. Joanna Lee, Ms. Ellie Law, Mr. Parco Wong – Centre for Applied English Studies, HKU

Dr. Joanna Lee is senior lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies of the University of Hong Kong. She is the English-in-the-Discipline programme coordinator for Social Sciences students. Her research interests include EAP/ESP, language and gender, and language policy and planning.

Ms. Ellie Law is a Lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies, HKU. She teaches the Core University English course and the English-in-the-Discipline (ED) courses for science and social work undergraduate students. Her research interests include learner autonomy and self-access language learning.

Mr. Parco Wong is a lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) teaching English enhancement courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In particular, he specializes in teaching English-in-the-Discipline (ED) courses to students from the Faculty of Social Sciences. He is the coordinator of the course “CAES9921 Great Speeches: Rhetoric and Delivery” and his research interests primarily focus on critical discourse analysis and sociolinguistics.
