Mr. Philip Smyth – Centre for Applied English Studies, HKU

Mr. Phil Smyth is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES), where he has worked since 2005. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics (University of Reading) and an MPhil in English Language Education (University of Nottingham) and is an EdD candidate at HKU. His interests are in both summative and formative assessment, and classroom-based assessment with an emphasis on tertiary education.
