Course Outline
This course explores how to lead learning experiences for small group settings that actively engage the learners and discusses the kinds of learning experiences typical of tutorials and / or lab-based teaching. It incorporates a practical teacher developmental focus, guiding participants through practical teaching strategies in their initial learning stage, allowing participants the opportunity to gain authentic experiences, and interacting again with the course tutors after their initial teaching. This design allows participants to bring their experiences back to the course classroom to discuss with course tutors and to be shown how to plan improvements reflectively.
