Presenter Guidelines


  • For presentation of full-scholarly papers and showcase papers, each presenter will be given 30 minutes (20 minutes presentation & 10 minutes Q&A).
  • The session chair will notify you of the time at 10 mins, 5 mins and 1 min.
  • Please ensure you do not run over your 20 mins in order to leave time for Q & A.

Presentation file

  • Please bring USB with your presentation to the room of your presentation during the break before your scheduled time for uploading to the computer which is provided.


  • In the spirit of saving of recourses, please note that handouts will not be printed for the sessions. Kindly note that photocopying services will NOT be provided during the conference.


  • The following will be provided in each presenting room –
    • LCD projector
    • Wireless microphone
    • Internet connection
    • Computer with the software below:
      • Microsoft English Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3
      • Microsoft English Office 2003 (includes Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System)
      • Acrobat Reader
      • Power DVD for playback of DVD or VCD
      If you require other equipment, please kindly let us know by 24 Nov 2010 (Wed).
  • Presenters are not encouraged to use their own laptop computer for presentation. Yet, if they wish to do so, they should go to their presenting room during tea break or lunch hour (12:45 – 13:15 pm) to test the equipment.
