Academic disciplines are defined as ‘cultural phenomena’ and as ‘embodied in collections of like-minded people, each with their own codes of conduct, sets of values, and distinctive intellectual tasks’ (Becher, 1981, p. 109). What about interdisciplinarity? What are your thoughts about interdisciplinarity and how it might be related to the teaching and learning practice?
